Primary and Secondary
Heat Exchangers
The primary and secondary
heat exchangers are an air-to-air, plate type manufactured entirely of
corrosion resistant stainless steel or other corrosion resistant metals.
All-welded construction eliminates cross-contamination and provides structural
integrity.
Thermal Reactor
All systems feature a horizontal
reactor bed. The horizontal bed assures long-term burner conversion efficiency
and VOC clean up performance.
Inlet Temperature Control
The temperature control maintains
a uniform temperature across the reactor bed inlet (typically 1400 Deg.
F to 1500 Deg. F). This assures proper solvent oxidation and minimizes
fuel consumption.
Modulating By-Pass Damper
The by-pass damper works
in conjunction with the inlet temperature control to temper the incoming
air temperature. An electronic interlock automatically turns off the burner
when the heat exchanger is providing sufficient temperature rise to maintain
the thermal reaction in a self-sustaining state.
Burner
The burner is a low maintenance,
natural gas, secondary air burner. This come equipped with an IRI or FM
approved gas train per local codes.
Reactor Vessel
The reactor vessel, is constructed
of an outer layer of carbon steel and an inner layer of three to four inches
of refractory rated to 2300 Deg. F.
Access Doors
Access doors are provided
at the burner chamber to provide for periodic inspection and maintenance
of the systems.
Installation
The system is delivered in
prefabricated modules. All units are shop assembled and tested prior to
shipment to assure a minimal start-up period. A small amount of field welding,
wiring and piping is required to install the unit.
Warranty
All M & W thermal oxidation
systems are designed to bring stack emissions into compliance with Federal
and State regulations. Defects in material and workmanship are
warranted for one (1) year.
